Speaking to a friend who is an actress recently, I could see her passion for telling true stories, which resonated with me. The passion in her eyes, the feeling in her voice and the determination to create was overwhelming.
It’s been a while since I held and caressed the book 'White Sorrow' in my arms. It tells the true story of my own abusive past. I have finally started to get the ball rolling and work towards the dream of producing a film based on The book.
As I held the book in my arms, certain scenes from the past came back from my memory like a flash of lightening: The pain, the trauma, I allowed myself to feel once again and tears like a stream ran down my cheeks. Innocence lost, faith destroyed, yet I know that if I must follow my dream.
If this is to come to pass and the film produced, I must relive it all again. As I give birth to this production, I pray for strength to face it all over again. Courage to endure and love for the cause to conquer this trying time.
