In my last blog I shared how I felt, to give you a glimpse of my past. It’s true that to get to where you are in life one has to battle. Life is a battlefield! It has its ups and downs.
Lord knows, I have had my ups and downs: wanting to give up, frustrations mounting at not getting what I want and finally thinking "What’s the point to it all?" But that’s just one side of it. The other side, after the mourning, is questioning what will make me happy.
After I have settled, and recharged my batteries, it’s time to head forward again. That’s my cycle :) - Let’s be honest, if you don’t try, you don’t get. I have been searching for years to get my Book 'White Sorrow' based upon our story of survival adapted into a movie. There have been loads of setbacks. Not meeting the right people, lack of funding, health issues, people doubting your capabilities, "you're not a big name in the industry... it may not work," etc., etc. However, I’m no stranger to all this. Give me a million reasons for a “no” and I’ll tell you one reason for a “yes”. I am driven by passion about everything I do. It is this drive which keeps me going. So now, the big revelation: A short 🎥 film called 'Don't Cry' which is based on 'White Sorrow' has been produced and it's already being screened at film festivals and winning awards. Plus, I'm in discussion with producers to follow up with a full length feature. Thank you 🙏 to all those who have stood by me.
